“rubix remixed” at Greensboro Fringe Festival (28-30 Jan 2016)

rubix revisited is a four-sided improvisational structure created in collaboration with dancers Binh Duong, Robin Gee, and Brianna Taylor.  An absurdist, geometrical, and sonic abstraction, the piece combines pre-composed material and improvisational openness.  rubix revisited is compositionally inspired by Carol McDowell’s surrender (2009), based on Trisha Brown’s Locus (1975) and Barbara Dilley’s grid score.

Performed at Fringe Dance January at the Greensboro Fringe Festival on January 28, 2016, 6 pm; January 29, 2016, 8 pm, and January 30, 2016, 2 pm.
